she is just starting that so she can't do it fast or without a lot of thought but she is starting to hold on to the coffee table and walk along the side while holding on. i caught her doing this on the crib too when watching her on the monitor. sometimes i place a paci on the crib rail corner so in the middle of the night when she doesn't have a paci and i need one its right there but the other day since she has learned to stand she stood up and saw it there so she proceeded to walk around the crib... very very very slowly and grab the paci. it was super cute!
Katie and daddy are so cute these days. He says the funnies things to and about her. The other day I was combing out katie's cradle cap which for some reason has returned and i said oops katie i got some of your hair... and bri must have heard me from the other room and he came in the bathroom and said with a straight face "oh nooooooo katie needs that hair. she has so little!" it was so cute he was really worried about the few pieces of hair i had pulled out while combing. hehe its ok bri it will grow back. although he is right she really has so little hair and it hasn't started filling in just yet.
The two of them have this funny little thing they do. Katie never lets daddy change her diaper without a crazy rolling over game. I always ask bri to change katie's diaper and i hear him saying "katie this is not a game. let me put your diaper on." and he talks to her like a little person as if she understands. hahaha its so funny. i come in after hearing him ask her nicely 2 or 3 times to stop rolling around and she was sitting up on the table and bri looks defeated and she is diaperless. its so funny. this happens a few times a week. she just won't let him put the diaper on or OH the pants.. the pants are the worst. bri brings katie out of the room after a diaper change without pants all the time. i'm like ummmm r we missing something and he just looks at me like... look ur lucky she has a diaper on. she WON'T let me put her pants on. hehehe its so cute.
bri and i were so tired the other night cus katie had us up and we were in bed talking and katie was screaming. we were debating if i should just get up and feed her, (its really nice when bri gets up and supports me with katie no matter if he does anything, having him up makes the night easier... for me lol.. makes for TWO tired parents in the morning though) i said oh sheesh i'll just go feed her and he reminded me that the doctor said not to touch her or pick her up or feed her. and he started busting out laughing. i was like ummmm what? he said "its like at the zoo when they have those signs on the cages about no feeding the animals... its like that. don't' pick them up... don't feed them" he was hysterical. we were so tired.. u know when you are so tired everything is funny. he kept going on and on..."we should make a sign and put it on katie's door." haha he was cracking up.
needless to say it made being up at 2am easier on the two of us.
Katie LOVES reading books. Its something bri and katie have started to do every night after bath time. i get about 45 minutes or so to myself for a shower, or blogging, emailing, or just time to catch up on me... laundry... lol when bri reads to katie. i read to her at least 3 or 4 books a day and she loves books. i give her a book in the car even and she sits there and turns the pages. its so cute. her favorite book is this animal sounds book. she actually likes when i make the sounds better than bri. hehehe i get really into it. lol but katie loves her book time with bri. sometimes i peak into the room and he has her on his lap and after each page he reads katie makes a little noise as if saying "ok daddy move on to the next page please. i understand..." its so cute
speaking of animal sounds. Katie cracks up when we read the book but even more we make the sounds all throughout the day. we have one other book that has tons of animals and i make the sounds when i turn the page and see a new animal and she loves it. I even make the sounds when she is eating in her high chair if she starts to get restless. it makes her distracted and always gets me a smile! animal sounds... who knew! ;)This is her favorite book!
this is the first time i opened the cabinet and let her see all her books. her eyes almost fell out of her head she was like ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sleep update! katie slept through the night on valentines day and the night after. then wed night she was up at 1230 and didn't go back down till 245. ugh we were both up and are sooooo tired today!!!!!
